The budget 2022 brings more than $50 billion of overspending and will drive up cost of living.
Canadians are already facing affordability crises due to multiple factors including pandemic and rising inflation. Under these circumstances, The Centrist Party of Canada was expecting a budget focusing on controlled spending, tax breaks for Canadians and improving housing supply. The skyrocketing cost-of-living is affecting middle class families the most and those struggling to make both ends meet.
This Liberal government budget brings more than $50 billion of new spending rather than lowering taxes and deficit. The government has been printing money which it does not have, raising the prices of commodities. Carbon tax is driving up the heat and gas bills for Canadians. Canadians are being punished for climate change for which big polluters like China, India, and Russia should be responsible.
The Bank of Canada once increases the interest rates, middle class families will be forced into economic failure.
Government needs to end extravagant spending, eliminate the carbon tax, cut down any unnecessary foreign aid and foreign investments, facilitate home building to increase supply and build pipelines for our natural resources not only having access international markets but provide people affordable energy.
Spending more than $50 billion is not prudent. From this credit card budget, it seems government has zero plan to balance the budget, which is not responsible at all.
