Polarization has been identified to occur across democratic countries such as India. These countries have adopted right-wing populist party ideologies, now turning more towards openly, extremist right wing parties. Political leaders such as Narendra Modi in India tried to undermine their opposing parties and further their own changes that would benefit them. The polarization in these countries is further pushing apart the opposing wings, turning their ideologies into extremism, harming the citizens of the country, and slowly destroying their democratic system.
